What are your top skills? In LinkedIn's article highlighted below, they have published a list of the hottest skills in 2015.
We've found through our LinkedIn training sessions that many professionals don't list their key skills/expertise in the Skills section of their LinkedIn profile or even in other sections of their profiles. Obviously if you don't highlight your key skills, prospects won't be able to find you when they search for those skills!
We suggest that you write down the top 3-5 skills that a potential client would use to search for your services on Google. Then look at your LinkedIn profile (you could use the word search tool - hit Ctrl and F ) to check how many times that word or phrase is mentioned in your profile.
Make sure your LinkedIn profile is peppered with those key skills and attract more of your ideal prospects via LinkedIn.
If your skills fit one or more of these skills categories (a grouping of related skills), there’s a chance you either started a new job or attracted the interest of recruiters last year. We noticed that companies were still recruiting and hiring for these skills well into the final months of 2015, so we expect these skills will remain in-demand in the early part of 2016. This means if you have one or more of these skills, you’re likely to continue getting interest from recruiters in the new year.
